Angised (Glyceryl trinitrate) works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, allowing easier blood flow to the heart.

It contains 6×10’s tablets of 0.5 mg.

Composition:

Angised

Each tablet contains:

 Glyceryl trinitrate B.P 0.5 mg

Dosage & Administration:

It may be placed under the tongue (administered sublingually) and retained in the mouth until dissolved or discarded.

Uses:

It is used to treat chest pain angina. It is also used to treat and prevent heart-related chest pain (angina).

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in angina caused by hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and should not be used in patients with possible increased intracranial pressure.

It is contraindicated in patients taking phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulators, and in patients who are hypersensitive to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Warnings & Precautions:

It should be used with caution in patients in whom adequate preload is important

for maintaining cardiac output because the administration of a vasodilator in these patients may worsen clinical status, in severe hypotension and cerebrovascular disease since symptoms may be precipitated by hypotension.

Interactions:

Alcohol long-acting nitrate preparations, sildenafil, riociguat use may result in severe hypotension, syncope, or myocardial ischemia.
