Treviamet (Sitagliptin and Metformin HCL) is composed of two ingredients. Both these ingredients are anti-diabetic medicine.

Composition:

Treviamet is available in form of film coated tablets. It has 50mg + 1000mg, 50mg + 500mg and 50mg + 850mg levels of dosage available.

Each 50mg + 500mg film coated tablet contains Sitagliptin Phosphate Monohydrate which is equivalent to 50mg and 500mg of Metformin HCL in it.

Dosage:

The level of dose is prescribed by the doctor or physician. Consult the doctor for a number of days and times to take the medicine.

Usage:

Treviamet is usually recommended in type 2 diabetes (diabetes mellitus). The intake of medicine goes simultaneously with exercise and proper diet as suggested by the doctor.

Instruction:

A standard pack of 50mg + 500mg contains 14 film coated tablets. Keep the medicine between 15 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Protect the medicine from moisture and sunlight.

Contraindications:

The tablets are not to be used for the patients having hypersensitivity. Seek the doctor immediately in case of any inconvenience.

Minor side effects may include dizziness, upset stomach, or headache.
