Toyota GR Corolla hatchback is a new version of the Toyota Corolla. The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars designed and manufactured by Toyota.

The idea was presented in 1966. Then it became one of the best-selling cars in the world. Since its invention, various fun and high-performance versions of this car keep releasing.

A new version of this car has recently come out in California. The new 2023 GR Toyota hatchback offers hot features.

It includes all-wheel drive, a 300 horsepower turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, and a widebody style.

GR stands for Gazoo Racing. The Toyota company’s president, Akio Toyota, directly participates in the invention of the car. He is an enthusiastic racing driver.

The GR Corolla will keep manufacturing in Motomachi, Japan, where another car version is also under manufacturing.

What makes the Toyota GR Corolla hatchback stand out?

The all-wheel-drive system of the new GR Corolla has selectable power distribution. The driver can send 60 percent of the car’s power to the front. And 40 percent to the rear wheels.

The driver can do dynamic driving by sending 70 percent of the car’s power to the rear wheels. Similarly, the system allows rallying and racing on twisted and dirt roads.

The turbocharged 3-cylinder engine is the same as the GR Yaris but produces up to 300 horsepower. Only one transmission choice, no automatic transmission, and six-speed manual transmission are available in this car.

However, it is wider than the usual Corolla due to its extended front and back bumpers. The widebody feature allows enhanced control and wide execution tires.

Likewise, it has a carbon fiber top to decrease weight and lowers the gravity center. The body uses Aluminum for the doors and hood; However, the back contains three tailpipes.

The Toyota GR Corolla hatchback will come in two versions. A base version, the Core, and a well-equipped version, the Circuit Edition. Nonetheless, the GR Corolla will face off against the VW Golf R, Hyundai Elantra, and Honda Civic Type R.
